Hi mohit,

Thanks for reaching out to us.
Batch picking is the process where multiple orders are picked at the same time(i.e. in the same batch). Just as the name suggests, in order-wise picking, SKUs from a particular order are picked simultaneously. Which is better can not be decided as each has its own advantages in different situations. Since an order can have any variety of SKUs present anywhere in the warehouse, batch picking is usually more productive if batches of SKUs in a particular zone are created, hence, saving picking time.

Order-wise picking is beneficial for small orders, since the processing will be faster. Batch picking is advantageous when there are multiple orders of the same SKU, hence fulfilling multiple orders simultaneously. Picking time is minimised in batch picking, where as fast processing of smaller orders is facilitated in order-wise picking.
Please feel free to contact us if still perplexed.
