A seller has two channels to take his brand online. Either he can launch his own website or register in any e-commerce website available in the market. however, alongside e-commerce channels, order fulfillment is the major differentiator.

For successful online order-fulfillment, seller has to maintain price competitiveness and delivery of the product within a commited time frame. This requires perfect coordination among all the processes. Online fulfillment (E-commerce) requires specific and speedy warehousing, first mile and last mile transportation services. Initial setup and management of all these services require large capital and management resources.

The seller either can manage these processes in-house or align with a 3pl provider like Holisol. Collaboration with 3pl provider provides benefits like scalable warehousing setup, established network, experienced professional and best in class IT-technologies at economical rates. These 3pl providers have experience in managing e-commerce business and help sellers to go online smoothly.

You either list yourself as a seller on marketplaces like Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm etc or create your own website/App. There are three aspects of successfully going online : a. Product catalog management b. Last Mile delivery c. Payment Portal.
If you are listing yourself on marketplaces, you are responsible only for keeping the catalog updated whereas logistics and payment gateways will be taken care by the marketplace. If you setup your own website/app, you have to manage all three above mentioned aspects. You can tie up with 3PL companies for your logistics requirement and also collaborate with payment gateways and e wallets for your payment needs.
